The Admissions Process
We welcome informal enquiries from parents who feel that Limpsfield Grange may be an appropriate school for their daughter. Parents, families and carers are asked to telephone the school to arrange and book a place on one of our regular Open Mornings, conducted by a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Alternatively parents can email email@example.com to book a place on an open morning or make an enquiry.
All of our students at Limpsfield Grange have an Education Health and Care Plan. Unfortunately we cannot accept admissions applications for students who do not have an Education Health and Care Plan.
We advise that parents and prospective students start looking at secondary provision from the start of Year 5.
Parents can express a preference for the type of provision (special secondary, specialist centre in a mainstream secondary school or mainstream secondary placement with support) at their daughter’s Year 5 Annual Review. Following the Annual Review their daughter’s paperwork will be submitted to the Area SEN Team who decide if the level of provision requested is suitable. Parents will be informed about the type of provision that has been agreed by their Area Special Needs Team, and will be encouraged to complete a Parental Preference Form at the start of Year 6. The Local Authority will then allocate the child a school place for Year 7, in the appropriate provision.
Mid-term admissions into other year groups, and at other times of the year, should be made via a SEN Case Officer.
“I think that had she not attended LGS she would have sunk without trace in a large comprehensive. She achieves and feels valued at LGS. We are immensely thankful for her chance to be a well-adjusted girl.”
We have Open Mornings running throughout the year but places are limited so please contact us well in advance. The Open Mornings start at 11.00am with an introductory talk by Mrs Wild, followed by a tour of the school, and should conclude by 12.30pm. Please note due to space restrictions we can only accommodate one person per family. Please do not bring any children with you.
Due to the current situation with Coronavirus all Open Mornings are currently postponed. If you have a place booked onto one we will contact you when we can arrange new dates. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We will be running Zoom sessions in the Autumn term. If you are interested please contact us on one of the emails below. If you were due to come to one of our Open Mornings that were cancelled we will contact you in the Autumn term to see if you would like to join us for a Zoom.
