Coronavirus (COVID-19) catch up premium.
The government has announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up in regards to education that was disrupted due to school closures in March 2020. It is thought that students from disadvantaged and vulnerable groups will have been the most affected. Special schools will receive £240 per student. We will be providing bespoke intervention for individual students or small groups of students. Interventions will mostly be for English or Maths, although they may be for other subjects for some students and for pastoral interventions in order to support students to make the best possible progress. Payments will be made in three parts, with the final payment in the summer term 2021. For more details about the use of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) catch up premium please contact Janine Chippington, Assistant Headteacher (firstname.lastname@example.org).
