We are looking for a teacher to join our teaching community. A Maths specialism would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience in the special secondary or primary sectors. NQTs are also welcome to apply.

Clerk to the Governors required from September 2019

4 hours per week (flexible) 39 weeks of the year (term time plus one week)

Salary PS7 £27,099 (£2,566 pro-rata)

 The main purpose of this role is to provide advice to the Governing Body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, and in particular:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees;
  • Ensure the Governing Body is properly constituted;
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to work in confidence using discretion at all times.  Access to a home computer and competency in using email, Word and the Internet are essential.

There are approximately 15 meetings per academic year, some of these are in the evening.  Full training and support will be given, the successful candidate will be required to attend termly clerks’ briefings and development sessions.
