Independent Life Skills Supervisor

8 hours per week 3.30 – 7.30 pm

Worked over 2 days Monday – Thursday

Salary PS5 £21,269 per annum (£4,009 pro-rata)

39 weeks of the year (term time plus 5 INSET days)

We are looking for a friendly, organised, enthusiastic person with a love of cooking to join our outstanding school.  You will be responsible for supervising 2-3 students in the planning, preparation and service of simple, freshly cooked suppers for up to 30 residential students and staff.  The position would suit a good home cook who has experience of working with young people and is able to plan student’s tasks and monitor their progress.

Clerk to the Governors required as soon as possible

4 hours per week (flexible) 39 weeks of the year (term time plus one week)

Salary PS7 £27,099 (£2,566 pro-rata)

 The main purpose of this role is to provide advice to the Governing Body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, and in particular:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees;
  • Ensure the Governing Body is properly constituted;
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to work in confidence using discretion at all times.  Access to a home computer and competency in using email, Word and the Internet are essential.

There are approximately 15 meetings per academic year, some of these are in the evening.  Full training and support will be given, the successful candidate will be required to attend termly clerks’ briefings and development sessions.
