Groups and Activities
We organise activities and groups that promote Wellbeing, Achievement, Communication and Independence (WACI). We aim to enable each young person to live a fulfilled and independent life. To do this we help them to develop self-esteem and resilience in a secure and supportive environment. Activities focus on developing self-care skills in personal hygiene and cooking; travel skills; problem solving skills and using money in the community. We also run groups that help students develop skills such as communication skills; emotional self-regulation and social interaction skills.
Staff speak about the children with passion and clearly understand their needs. Staff want to empower the children to be the best version of themselves. They share a joint vision with the children about how this will be achieved.
